Numerous students accepted into Detroit Symphony Orchestra's youth ensembles at both the middle school and high school level for the upcoming school year! Looking forward to hearing them play in person for the upcoming season with Civic Youth Ensembles!

I'm extremely honoured to be featured as English horn soloist in Aaron Copland's Quiet City with Orchestra Sono, conducted by Andrew Neer. We recorded this project earlier this week and it will used used in schools around the area to introduce students to different instruments in the orchestra, including English horn and trumpet, which are featured in this work. I can't wait for the project to be released!!

Graduating senior, Owen C. (Grosse Pointe South HS), has been accepted an an Oboe Major into University of Michigan Music School, McGill University (Montreal, QC), Western University (London, ON), Arizona State University and Bowling Green University for the Fall of 2020
Graduating Senior, Clark S. (Groves HS) has be accepted to Wayne State University as an Oboe Major and will begin school there in the Fall of 2020.
Sophomore student, Elliot P. (Berkley HS), wins spot in the Blue Lake International High School Orchestra. This elite ensemble will travel and perform throughout Europe for 3 weeks in the summer of 2020. Elliot was one of three oboists selected throughout the country for this tour and will play both oboe and English horn on tour. Excellent work!
8th grade student, Georgia S. (Norup), wins spot in the Blue Lake International Middle School Band. This elite ensemble will travel and perform throughout Europe for 3 weeks in the summer of 2020. Georgia was one of two oboists selected for this ensemble. Great job!
 Graduating student Kevin D. wins first chair as a freshman at Wayne State University and also won a spot in the Symphony Orchestra, where he will get paid to play oboe for the school year!
Student Owen C. will be traveling to NYC in the next few weeks to take a lesson with my former teacher, Elaine Douvas and the Juilliard School of Music as he prepares for his college auditions this year!
Every middle school studio in the studio has completed their first round of reedmaking private lessons this summer and are track to be completely reed independent over the next few months!
Congrats to Berkley high school student Clark S. who won a spot in the TOP youth orchestra for 2019-2020 season!
