Congratulations to student Samantha C. (Grosse Pointe South) for receiving a first division on BOTH her oboe AND English horn solos! Samantha competed with the Schumann Romance and The Swan from Carnival of the Animals on English horn. She will perform both solos again for State Solo and Ensemble in the Spring! Great job!
Congratulations to students Arielle W. (Andover HS) for winning first chair oboe in the Michigan Honors Band (top band), and student Haley J. for winning second chair in the Michigan Honors Band (top band)!! Both oboes in the first band for Michigan Honors Band are from my studio, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Arielle and Haley will perform together after two days of clinics and rehearsals in Clarkston, MI. Great job!
