Congratulations to student Ava W. for being accepted to perform with the band at the John Mackey Clinic, which will be held at Western University in April. Ava was one of four oboists from the entire state that was chosen to participate after auditioning. Looking forward to hearing more about the clinic!

Huge congratulations to high school student Arielle W. (Andover HS) for receiving the high score of 93 out of 100 on her solo at State Solo & Ensemble! Arielle performed the Paladihle Concertante beautifully! She also received a first division on her ensemble. So excited for her!
Congratulations to new high school student Connor D. (Troy HS) for making it into the Symphonic Band at Troy High School for next year! So much fun music ahead now!
Congratulations to high school student Samantha C. (Grosse Pointe South) for receiving first divisions on BOTH oboe AND English horn at State Solo and Ensemble. Samantha performed Schumann Romance 3 on oboe, and 'The Swan' from Carnival of the Animals on English horn. Great job!
Congratulations to student Ava W. for receiving a first division at State Solo & Ensemble. This was Ava's first time competing at the State level, and she performed the first movement of the Albinoni Concerto for Oboe in d minor. So proud! Ava also received a first division on her ensemble
Congratulations to student Haley J. (Ferndale HS) for receiving a first division on her solo at State Solo and Ensemble! Haley performed the Nielsen Phantasy Pieces, and has also been chosen to perform a concerto with her school orchestra on her senior honors concert!
