MMEA All-State Oboe Seminar 2023

I am delighted to host a virtual seminar to learn and study the MMEA Michigan All-State music for both oboe and English horn. Over the years I have had several private students win spots in the MMEA All-State ensembles on oboe & English horn, and have even had multiple students to win first chair at All-State! I am confident that with the proper tools & preparation you can play winning audition for this year's MMEA All-state ensembles!
The High School All-state seminar will take place Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 1:30pm, and the Middle School seminar will take place Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 6pm.
This all-state seminar is free to all students, and students will receive help on proper practice techniques, practice rhythms, metronome work, fingerings, and tone production among other things. We will focus on both physical and mental preparation so that student will have the best chance at a successful audition. There will also be time for students to play portions of the audition music for each other to help gain confidence and receive feedback.
