David K. (Bloomfield HS) will perform the Cimarosa Concerto with his high school orchestra on June 7! Very excited to hear the lovely concerto tomorrow evening!
Graduating senior, Emily D., has decided to attend MSU as a music major next fall with a FULL scholarship from the oboe professor!!!
Graduating senior, Paul M. (Grosse Pointe North HS), has decided to attend Wayne State University in downtown Detroit as an oboe major in the Fall of 2017!
Graduating student David K. has received over $10,000 in oboe scholarship money to attend Wooster College in Ohio, as a NON-music major!
A graduating high school student was just offered a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to attend Michigan State University as an oboe major for Fall 2017. There are many more auditions for this student over the next few months, so I will leave the anonymous for now. More details to come after this student decides on which school to attend! Off to a great scholarship audition season already!
Congratulations to freshman student, Molly F. (Troy Athens), for winning first chair in the Athens High School orchestra!!! Molly has also just began playing English horn in her lessons as well. I look forward to MANY great musical achievements from Molly over her remaining high school years!
Love getting these updates from former students. A former student who is a freshman nursing major sent me this update on his entrance audition to participate in the university band. Colin is in the TOP band, and received a scholarship as a freshman after studying with me for four years.
Freshman, Clark S. has been selected to play English horn with his school and Metropolitan Youth Symphony where he will have the opportunity to shine on English horn solos throughout the concert season! Clark has been studying with me since middle school, for the past years. Congrats!
Congrats to high school student Emily Demski for wining a job with Marine Band, beginning in 2017. Emily will begin training and playing with Marine Band after she graduates from high school this Spring 2017
Congratulations to high school student Emily D. (Stoney Creek HS) who has advanced to the final round of the United States Marine Band audition!!! If she wins the finals, Emily will have a job playing with the Marine Band right out of high school!
